What Is Aries, the New Master-Planned Community in Henderson?
If you've been watching new construction in Henderson, you've probably heard about Aries — a large master-planned community that just held its grand opening on a site with an unusual backstory. Here's what's actually there, where it sits, and what it means if you're considering a new-construction home in Henderson. This ties into our broader guide to master-planned communities across Clark County, where we track new openings like this one as they come online.
Where exactly is Aries located in Henderson?
Aries sits along the south side of Lake Mead Parkway, about five miles northeast of Boulder Highway, near Lake Las Vegas. PulteGroup, the Atlanta-based homebuilding company, held its grand opening for the community in September 2026.
What was on this site before Aries?
Aries occupies the former Three Kids Mine, which produced manganese for the U.S. government between 1917 and 1961 — manganese ore used mainly in ship and tank construction during both World Wars. The ore was stored at the site until 2003. Nevada's Division of Environmental Protection, which led the cleanup, reported contaminants on-site including arsenic, lead, petroleum hydrocarbons, dioxins, and asbestos, with an estimated cleanup cost of roughly $257 million. Henderson's redevelopment director has confirmed the remediation work is complete. Congress cleared the way for this redevelopment with the 2014 Three Kids Mine Remediation and Reclamation Act, and in 2024 the federal Bureau of Land Management transferred roughly 850 acres to Henderson's Redevelopment Agency, which passed ownership to Pulte.

Book a Buyer Strategy SessionHow big is Aries, and what will it include?
The overall redevelopment project spans about 1,146 acres, though only around 410 acres of that made up the mine's "impacted area" requiring cleanup. City of Henderson records show plans for upwards of 3,000 homes on and around the former mine site over time. Beyond housing, the builder has said Aries will include parks with pickleball and sand volleyball courts, splash pads, play areas, and BBQ pits.
What homes are available in Aries right now, and what do they cost?
Five subdivisions are currently open for sale under the Pulte Homes brand, with prices ranging from the $300,000s to the $500,000s. By around mid-June, Pulte held permits to build 155 homes in the community. PulteGroup isn't building every home itself — it has sold off tracts to other builders, including about 70 lots to Richmond American Homes for $16.2 million in May and roughly 100 lots to D.R. Horton for about $22.4 million later that month. Del Webb, PulteGroup's 55-and-over brand, is expected to start selling homes in Aries next year.
Is a new community like Aries worth considering for Henderson buyers?
In our experience walking Henderson buyers through new-construction options, the first phase of a brand-new master plan is often where the builder's most aggressive introductory pricing shows up — before amenities, commercial space, and later phases are built out. That can be an opportunity, but it also means buying into a construction zone for a few years, which is worth weighing against comparable resale homes in established Henderson communities nearby. We also encourage clients evaluating any early-phase master plan to ask builders directly about the full buildout timeline, since trails, parks, and additional builder phases can take years to materialize and affect how the community's resale values compare to its finished vision.
